House Plantation Houston was an excellent location for a wedding. Mixing Rustic and Romance. We had photographed Quary's sister wedding a couple of years ago. Quary of course wanted some similar vibes but a little different. There were nervousness and a few moments of silence. But in the end, all were joyous. We shot the ceremony at the local Kingdom Hall in Katy and finished the rest at House Plantation Wedding Venue in Cypress . I had been worried about the weather all week but the rain held out until about 20 minutes after the wedding. We got an epic blend of natural beauty that echoed love.
Garten Verein in Galveston is a lovely place for a wedding.. I was immediately drawn to the architecture once I saw it. I was assisting a fellow tog, Ed Heard and this was probably the most stress-free wedding we had ever done. The bride and groom took advantage of doing a first look and had some time to go around town getting some epic imagery... The first look is simply amazing.. Look at the emotions that are flowing.
Romance... I think that would be the most appropriate way to describe the emotion I observed and captured.. Continuing from the engagement session we did last year, everything seemed to fall in place.. We saw laughter, praise, and tears of joy all within a few settings.. The wedding itself took place at House on the Word Church with a elegant reception at the Ayva Center.. When you walked in the room, you were wowed and you could not help but to indulge.. Shade' ( A Conceal Affair ) did a magnificent job of planning and coordinating everyone. Dextor ( 19Eleven Events ) provided the floral arrangements... I wish every reception I photograph could carry such beauty!! Congratulations to Amaka & Ochuko... Many blessings..
Art and love go hand in hand.. There is an art to it per se. Gremillion & Co. Fine Art is a quaintly- "chicish" venue for a wedding... If you had seen Deidra & Jerry's engagement photos at the airport, then you knew the wedding would be a twist on tradition.. Their relationship is centered on God and the wedding time started based on a simple but powerful verse. Mark 10:9... In lieu of our traditional reception, they opted for a simple but elegant cocktail brunch and were able to share many words with their guests.. Congrats once again!!!
Ashton Gardens Houston, I had an opportunity to assist Ed Heard shooting on a wedding, this usually means as a second shooter I can focus on the shots that aren't so cliche'. But what I really want to harp is what should be most important to couples. The MOMENT... This is what my photography is really about.. Its honestly what I care about most. Its cool to describe a memory but how about capturing it and remembering it that way.. Brittany & Ivory enjoyed many moments of laughter & joy..
University of Houston Wedding Ceremony took place at the U of H Chapel. Ironically Mark had found me via a google search.. Also what was more ironic was one of my good buddies in college was one of his best friends.. We did an epic engagement session where Mark had proposed ( see here ). Small world, the theme was a beautiful october orange that also resembled the color of peanut m & m's.. The reception took place at the Cadillac Bar in the Heights... Congratulations to Mariana + Mark!!!
Beautiful Spring Chateau Wedding. The end.. lol, It was raining off and on thru-out the day so we never knew where we might have been able to capture the magic, it had rained as soon as I opened the car door... Thank God for dry-fit shirts.. What I didn't know is that Blake let the wedding date be the same time as a Dallas Cowboy game... There was an actual stoppage of the ceremony to announce a win against Seattle.. lol.. Many Congratulations to Katrina & Blake..
Had a chance to do assist on a wedding for a photog buddy of mine, Ed Heard.. These are the benefits of have a second photographer at your wedding... Two viewpoints, same goal of delivering moments. I just wanted to share a few images.. I love emotional wedding receptions and dances, the energy and love is what drives me and shapes my images... I call my images "Stunners" and hopefully you will see why.
A blend of order and sounds from NOLA... Trakena & Brandon were quite calm before the wedding especially since I heard there was nervousness during the week lol. So I knew, everything would run smooth like a baby's bottom. We had also done their engagement session earlier that spring ( see here ) so I knew it would be special. The ceremony and reception took place at Brookwood Community in Brookshire, Tx.. The church was a beautiful site to see and the reception took place at Brookwood Community Cafe Congrats to Trakena and Brandon!!
I think being from Texas we don't appreciate the beauty that it has to offer.. Galveston Beach was stunning on this wedding day!! Pretty blue hue ( no photoshop )... I hadn't met Carrington & Chris prior to the big day so I let love take its course. I've nicknamed the wedding "Sunset Harvest" . The wedding had a little country flair with the energy of SignatureEventx. Here are a couple of shots from the big day!! Congratulations!! Special thanks to Chloe Cooke Events for planning this day and to Kandis of Expensive Taste Catering for saving me a plate!! Abbias Delights for the beautiful wedding cake!! Blessed!!
One thing about weddings is you get to see a range of emotions thru-out the day.. I can say on this day, we seen a little bit of nerves, laughter, and tears of joy.. There was a sign in the front of the building that set Dykeba & Lawrence were a perfect match and it showed this night... The wedding took place at Signature Manor in Sugarland, Tx... Beautiful floral arrangements by Keisha's Kreations.. The world-reknown Color Du Jour had the bridal party beautiful as always... Now when I shoot receptions, my brides are known for being hype.. Once you see that Signtature Eventx is the dj, well you already know.. Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Dupree'!!
A New Orleans Wedding that was a "New Orleans Wedding"... It was a vintage 40's wedding theme from the engagement session ( see here ) down to the details which included a masquerade party. Sharlie was stunning and the groom had the crisp details in the linens.. The ceremony and reception took place at Southern Oaks Plantation... A New Orleans brass band came thru to really set the night off with the second line... See for yourself below... Congrats to Sharlie & Craig!!
We started the day off taking jello shot after jello shot... Just kidding... we started with a little nervousness but by showtime, everyone was ready to say "I do".. I had shot LaTangee & Gabe's engagement session ( see here ) last year and bridals a few weeks ago( see here )... The entire bridal party were happy and elated the entire night. It was a grand event with one of the most lush candy bar's Ive seen in a while.. Congrats to Mr & Mrs. Mendoza!!
Every bride dreams of their wedding day and how they would look in their dress, how the groom would react, would he cry, smile, or try to hold everything in. The beauty of a bridal session is confidence and celebrating that. Besides how often, will you be able to rock the dress?! We took the bridal photos near Summerwood & Lake Houston admist the water, a few gnats and a dead squirrel lol... I'm just being honest.. Beauty outshines it all. Congrats once again on being Mrs. Mendoza, it was a beautiful wedding. ( See here )
