For this session, we didn't resolve the location until just hours before the shoot. I was asked what was my favorite location to do engagement photos. Honestly, I don't really have one. I love all of Houston but if I had to choose, it would probably be downtown near the Houston's theatre district. Latangee & Gabe were good sports about it so here is their love story. A good story of co-workers that became friends and now will be husband & wife. Look forward to shooting their wedding next Summer!! | This happy couple is now married, check out LaTangee's Bridal Session here and some highlights of the wedding here.
Life is really interesting.. I had actually met Mye when I first started shooting in 2009. Dj Cas had a night spot I used to shoot on Wednesday nights... Little did I know, we would meet up 3 years later to book the U of H Wedding... Just goes to show that in life, our footsteps are ordered. Be a blessing to people you meet, there might just be a good reason. Fast-forward, the took place at my Alma mater University of Houston Chapel ( aka AD Bruce Religion Center )... and the reception to place at the Hilton Hotel on campus... Another beautiful day filled with love, laughter, and emotion. Congrats to Mye + Donovan...
Besides the fact the sun was cooking my bald head, this was one of the most fun engagement photoshoots I've been apart of.. I met both while shooting the houston hip-hop scene so it was like being at home. It is clear that Dara, David & Oreo ( the doggy ) belong together... Lots of fun, goofy moments, and interesting stories. They met at Borders Bookstore where David worked... They share of passion for the written language so we shot at Kaboom Books in the Houston Heights.. Interesting out of print and rare finds.. Well, I guess I will see yall for the wedding at The Heights Villa in March!! Well if I could tell you the story behind Latoya & Curtis' images, one would really appreciate the gift of life. A baby is a gift and a beacon for what can be. I was glad to partake in capturing a moment in life to be cherished forever! |
