Sometimes you plan things and they don't go the way you planned. The weather didn't permit shooting the weekend prior and the weather radar had rain coming within minutes of the shoot ending. We were going to shoot the engagement session at Discovery Green but someone decided to barricade most of the roads and run a marathon thru downtown Houston. Instead we found a cozy spot near Bayou Place and the owner of the Wine Cellar Houston let us take a few snaps at the bar... I just didn't want to break any vintage wines I couldn't pay for.. Congrats to Candace & Jeffrey David has proposed to Alycia at City Centre Houston.. It is one of their favorite places to visit. They workout there as well.. When they told me this, I said we must shoot before everyone wakes up at Hotel Sorella.. The day could not have been more perfect. An entire complex to themselves.. As you can see, the love was tremendous.. Congrats to both of you guys!! Stay Tuned for Part 2!! ( Click Here ) Downtown Houston Engagement Photos in the fall.. This is my favorite time of year to do sessions. We visited a location that I hadn't shot at in 2 years then traveled out to the Sabine Street Bridge for a sunset... This downtown spot is super popular so we had to keep an eye on my lenses and France's handbag.. Once we put those away, things got loose and love flowed. Congratulations to Frances + Richard... See yall in June 2015!!
Let's all hold hands and sing to the Lion King's "can you feel the love tonite"... The chemistry between Kenya & Lawrence was quite magical.. The photos will speak to that.. We shot at Mercer Arboretum which were mere minutes from removing the flowers in preparation for the winter season.. I was quite amazed and excited at the possibilities.. Congrats guys!! See yall at Ashton Gardens in 2015!!!
University of Houston Wedding Ceremony took place at the U of H Chapel. Ironically Mark had found me via a google search.. Also what was more ironic was one of my good buddies in college was one of his best friends.. We did an epic engagement session where Mark had proposed ( see here ). Small world, the theme was a beautiful october orange that also resembled the color of peanut m & m's.. The reception took place at the Cadillac Bar in the Heights... Congratulations to Mariana + Mark!!!
Had an opportunity to capture another couple in the basking sun!! I'm known for dusk shooting but I believed in the "ray of sunshine" concept and decided that beauty would take the forefront. We did the maternity photosession at discovery green downtown. The scenery really jelled with the love between Alicia, Marcus, and the lil one Kiyan.. Congrats to your family and will see Kiyan rocking his little black kicks soon!! |
